COACHING

Coaching is a process of transporting a person from where they are now to where they want to be at some point in the future. As a business coach, I can help you identify and set meaningful, worthwhile goals and objectives. We work together on your journey as you achieve each personal objective toward your ultimate goal. My job as a coach is to get you from where you are now to where you want to be.

We live in a world that is characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity. Sometimes, we feel overwhelmed by it all; we have difficulty in making sense of what is happening.  This is where a coach can help by acting as a sounding board. A coach is there to help you get through times of difficulty.

World-class business people have coaches

All top-class athletes have coaches who help them improve their performance. It fact, in many cases they are world-class because they have a coach. Their coach is an essential element in their success. The world of work is no different. We need to perform at our very best and excel in what we do. We need someone who can ask the right questions and keep us on the right path. That is the role of a coach.

You may be an entrepreneur, working hard at your new startup, a business owner or a seasoned and experienced supervisor, manager or CEO;  you can be more successful if you have a coach. I can help you clarify and achieve your success goals.

Supervisors, front-line managers and project managers in particular, all benefit from receiving coaching, and they can also benefit from being coaches themselves.

Training people to be coaches

My area of  interest is in helping supervisors, first-line managers, middle managers and project managers develop practical coaching skills. I do this through one-on-one sessions, either in-person or on-line. I also design and facilitate on-line training courses specifically aimed at supervisors and managers.

Coaching is an essential skill that can be learned, and I can help you acquire that skill.

Coaching Models and Tools

In my practice and teaching of coaching, I use various models and tools. These  include the GROW and FUEL  models, DISC behavioural profiling and the Personal Balanced Scorecard (PBSC). This combination of models and tools allows me to address all coaching situations, tailor coaching to individual behaviour and link coaching to achieving personal and business goals and objectives.
